Local Artist Expression of Interest (EOI)
We’re seeking a local artist to join the team and paint a mural as part of the Three Walls project in Charlton.
Are you keen to collaborate and work with other passionate artists to develop a set of works in Charlton? We’re looking to collaborate with a local artist who lives within 80km of the Charlton township, we are looking for someone who is passionate about their art and keen to see it live on a new surface. While some mural experience is preferred it is not essential. We are open to mentoring an artist if experience painting at large scale is limited.
While the bulk of the painting must be complete between the 22nd - 24th NOV, we can arrange some earlier painting time to ensure the project is complete on the due date of 24th NOV.
Artists commission: $1600
WALL SIZE: 8m x 4m (approximate)
PAINT & EQUIPMENT: There will be an allocated materials budget managed by Nacho Station that is suitable for the scale of the wall. All ladders and safety equipment will be organised and paid for by Nacho Station.
TRAVEL: The local artist will arrange their own transport to and from the mural location each day.
Must be willing to collaborate and develop an original piece based on the feedback from community consultation.
Must be available to paint the bulk of the mural over the project weekend.
START - Friday 22nd Nov. FINISH - Sunday 24th Nov.
Must reside within 80km of the Charlton township.
Must be able to provide your own transport to and from the mural site on each day of the project.
Some experience painting murals will be preferred but not essential.

11th OCT - EOI opens
21st OCT - EOI Closes (5pm)
23rd OCT - Artist selected
6th NOV - Draft design concept due
13th NOV - Final design concept due
21st/22nd NOV - Commence mural
24th NOV - Complete mural
