The adventure begins when you pick up a worksheet from Bendigo or Kangaroo Flat Library. From there, you’ll head out on a journey to collect as many words as you can.
We’re going on a word hunt, we’re gonna catch a big one… I’m not scared
There’s nothing scary about searching for words along the Bendigo Creek trail these school holidays! Get out on your bike or walk along the Bendigo Creek Trail between the two Libraries to join in the hunt.
Once you’ve finished the word hunt you could have up to 30 words to craft your own sentence.

About the word hunt:
The Bendigo Creek Trail has a designated walking and cycling path from Kangaroo Flat Library all the way to the connection with Hargreaves Street, from there you can head straight into the CBD where you’ll connect to the Bendigo Library through the Mall.
Getting involved:
There are over 30 unique words to find, check out the map to see where you’ll venture next.
You don’t need to travel the entire length of the trail to get involved. We recommend you do either section 1 or section 2 of the map to collect enough words.

Terms and Conditions:
Each person may enter one sentence using the words found during the hunt. You may add up to three of your own words to help complete the sentence. Parents may enter on behalf of children. Entries must be received by 1pm Sunday 3rd October. Entries must utilise words found on the pavement during the hunt. Winners are drawn Wednesday 6th October.

Do I need to go the whole length of the trail to participate?
No, you can join in on any section of the map to collect words. We recommend either doing the entire length of section one or section two to collect enough words. (see map below)
Where will I find the words?
Keep your eyes on the footpath to find words, you’ll notice yellow and white polka dots in areas where words are present.
What’s with the bonus words?
To help you craft the perfect sentence, we will allow up to three unique words of your choice to be added. Please list your selected bonus words when submitting the form below.
