We teamed up with Rachel Doller to brighten up the Circle of Friends space at Elmore Olsh Primary School. With a 2h online art workshop (during lockdown 2021), the students worked with Rachel and Reece from Nacho Station to develop a cut and paste collage that represents the values of the school.

With a whole stack of student generated ideas, Rachel took the inspiration and developed a layout that encompassed the themes and visuals that they had developed

During the initial painting process, students worked in small teams to help colour in all of the funky design elements that Rachel Doller had sketched onto the surface.

The process of involving the students in this community mural lifted the spirits of the school after a challenging year. Mural and art projects at schools have an amazing ability to cut through with high levels of engagement.

The flow on affect of positive energy throughout the school was felt by the teachers, facilitators and students who can feel proud pof the legacy they have created at their Primary School in years to come.

This transformation of space was a great way to engage students with a fun art project that was also jam-packed with meaning. Mural projects at Schools can be tailored to fit any objective or age group.
