It’s not often we’re given a space large enough to undertake a massive 7.5m x 10m pavement mural. This colourful piece certainly had impact and we know from surrounding businesses that it activated an underused space, even though it’s right in the centre of Bendigo.
The colour and style invited people to take part, even if they just sat and had their lunch on the park bench in the piazza.
In conjunction with the Mary Quant exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery, we engaged Canberra-based artist Happy Decay to create this very colourful, large scale pavement mural.
